Napoli, Island of Capri, Amalfi coast

September 30 to October 7, 2016

After the peak tourist season, we decided to have a tour in Italy focused on the Amalfi Coast.

This area has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a cultural landscape.

As our flight from Bordeaux arrived at Naples airport, we had the opportunity to extend our trip and visit other places as well.

  • Napoli City
    • Buildings, churches, streets, ancient fortresses and castles of the sea, as well as natural caves
    • We enjoyed the visit to the Archaeological Museum of Naples

  • Vesuvio volcano and Pompei
    • Mount Vesuvius is the only active volcano on mainland Europe. He is best known because of the eruption in A.D. 79 that destroyed the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Because the city was buried so quickly by volcanic ash, the site is well preserved a snapshot of life in a Roman city. The last eruption was in 1945

  • Capri Mediterranean island
    • One of the most beautiful and most visited in Campania

  • Amalfi coast and picturesque coastal towns
    • The mountains plunge into the sea. Located on the southern coast of the Gulf of Salerno in southern Italy is a popular tourist destination for the region and Italy.
    • Sorrento
    • Amalfi
    • Ravello
    • Salerno

  • Paestum
    • Just south of the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast, is an archaeological site where three Greek temples stand in the middle of the campaign. Paestum is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
